Need build with sword.
Very big newbie here, don't have Prophecies, looking for a good build using a sword. Preferably W/Mo. I saw most of the build are for axe, but like using sword because the sword looks cool! Right now, I need to pass the mainland cantha part.

I'll sneak a post in here before you get hammered for not searching. To be honest, alot of the builds that have been actually posted aren't neccesarily that great, so you'd have to pick through alot....
You need to bring:
1.) 1 IAS skill (increased Attack speed skill) for now I would use Tiger's Stance. Once your a bit more experienced, you may want to switch to Flurry or even Frenzy.
2.) 3-4 attack skills.
A good one to get close to where you are is Quivering Blade, if you go to guild wiki, and look at the list they have of Elite skills, you'll lfind a map to lead you there. Other good ones to take include: Sun and Moon Slash, Silverwing Slash, Sever Artery and Gash. Personally I'd start with Sever, Gash and Sun and Moon in addtion to Quivering Blade.
3.) 1-2 defensive skills.
Many people will tell you you need to fill your bar with defensive skills to be an effective warrior, and this is not true. I would bring Watch Yourself definately, and that should be about all you really need till your more experienced. For the Second, I'd bring Heal sig. Sprint is also a handy skill to have, as long as you don't rush into a group of baddies before your party is ready. Rather use Sprint during battle to get between enemies quicker.
4.) REZ SIG or Rebirth
You do not have an excuse not to bring a resurrection skill.
5.) As for your other skills... I would stay away from spells for now. Long as you have those skill types I have listed covered, you're free to experiment and play around as you will.
P.S. As soon as you can, replace Quivering Blade with Dragon Slash. It's a bit better IMHO.

Res sig can be replaced by hard res in pve.

Thanks for the tips. I tried guildwiki, but for some reason it won't load on me.

Not when you can use Dragon Slash and have all of your adrenaline skills charged or about to be charged all the time. Axe is losing it's grip on PvE.... Which is fair cause it's dominate in PvP.

Swords have better and more skills, especially for the beginning warrior.
Not to mention Riposte and Deadly Riposte (121 Dmg + 21 sec bleed FTW)

That is for defence not offence as most tactics are for defence and I would recommend Dragon Slash over Quivering Blade.

I saw some builds that do not use strength or very little, why is that?

Every point you put into Strength gives 1% armor penetration, which doesn't add much damage at all.

1% while using attack skills. Which makes it even worse.

Swords are good in pve, where as axes are good in pvp.
I've been using sword since the beginning, but I'm gettin bored of it, so went towards axe and hamer. >.<

I'm pretty proud of something I called the Adrenabuild, which I posted here. I'm pretty sure it's a Factions-only skill set, and it's fairly easy to use. More importantly, it's perfect for a sword user as it's loaded with sword attacks. If you want you can modify it to remove Standing Slash and Distracting Blow and replace it with the ever popular Sever Artery-Gash combo. Or however you wish. Part of the fun is experimenting with a build to suit your own needs.

Actually for a good IAS im surprised berserker stance isnt mentioned. Paired up with Dragonslash the skill is downright devastating. Using berserk you can charge up you adrenaline very quickly and then keep you attacks constantly cycling once dragonslash is charged.
Currently my skillbar is looking like:
W/N:
Sun and Moon Slash
Silverwing Slash
Dragonslash (E)
Berserker Stance
Plague Touch/Sprint (Utility skill)
Doylak Signet or "Watch Yourself" (Or any situational defensive skill)
Healing Signet
Rez
Yes berserker stance has a 30 seconds recharge, but using it can charge dragonslash in 3-5 sped swings. Once DS is charged you will have no more adrenaline problems and can constantly deal damage and build adrenaline using sun and moon and DS. If DS is stopped you probably have berserker stance charged at this point and can use it again to regain your cycles. Just be sure not to use any skills that would cancel berserker stance before DS is charged.
